42 in 6 Weeks Challenge Looking for excuses to get fit? Do you enjoy helping others and raising funds for worthy life saving causes? Need some serious motivation and accountability to get you jump started with your health and fitness goals? If you said yes to any one of these questions. Then the 42 in 6 week workout challenge is for you! What is the challenge? 42 Workouts to be completed in 6 weeks. What is the objective? To be sponsored by family, friends and loved ones for each workout you do. Eg: it can be as simple as $1, equaling $42 for the challenge or a lump sum total of $100 for the whole 42 workouts. What does sponsored mean? It means. Every time you complete a workout. They can donate a certain amount of money towards either Cystic Fibrosis Canada or Sick Childrens Hospital Foundation. Where does this take place? If you are a woman, either in person at On The Button. Club gym in Toronto, Ontario. What is the cost? $99 + hst What happens if I don't live near Toronto or I am a man? If you are not near that location or you are a man and would like to participate you can join the closed Facebook group at Join the 42 in 6 Week Facebook group You can then follow along with workouts via live streaming, access workout videos, nutrition, recipes, mindset training, motivation and a bunch more! When does this start? Saturday, July 22, 2017 to Saturday, September 3, 2017. Please note that the launch of the 42 in 6 can be in person on Saturday July 22, 2017 with the Obstacle Fundraising Day in the Kawartha's. The day counts as 4 workouts completed for the challenge. What is a workout that counts in the challenge? 30 to 60mins of full body work. In the gym that may be full body compound movements such as squatting, pushing, pulling, planking, lifting, my personal favourite BOXING etc. Outside of the gym, this could be running, swimming, biking etc. How do I know if I have done an optimal workout in 30 to 60minutes? A person heart rate never lies. The goal is to keep your heart rate between 70-80 % of your maximum heart rate for 20-40 mins out of the 30-60 mins of your workout. Check out the Facebook closed group with a step by step guide on how to do this. *once you are registered you will be sent a full detailed video and links of where family and friends can easily sponsor you for each workout and be given access to the closed Facebook group. The links include direct money being sent either to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada or Sick Childrens Hospital Foundation.
